Challenges and Opportunities for Counseling in the Industrial Revolution 4.0
Abstract
Industrial revolution 4.0 is in line with the existence of educational technology needs of the world. The era of industrial revolution 4.0 is called the period of disruption, which signifies a change in people’s lives more to become and do good. Changes occurred massively in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and technology. This research aims to examine various challenges and opportunities for the counseling profession that arose in the era of revolution 4.0 to support the counselor profession to become more professional. The research method used is a qualitative case study. The research subjects were 11 Counseling Guidance teachers at the Aliyah State Madrasah (MAN) in Bandar Lampung. The results of this study include counselors becoming counselors and becoming innovators, and being an inspiration for the rest of the world to be favorable to the industrial revolution 4.0 in improving the lives of Indonesian people.
